High carbohydrate drinks mix for sustained energy. EnergySource is a concentrated carbohydrate (glucose polymer) drink mix, designed to provide maximum sustained energy. It contains all the essential electrolytes with a low Osmolality and is rapidly absorbed. Highly stable in the stomach and with a range of light refreshing flavours; EnergySource is suitable for athletes at elite and recreational levels.
EnergySource now contains Supercarbs the revolutionary carbohydrate mix that will give you 25% plus more energy than normal sports drinks and 40% better hydration. When tested at the University of Herts against a normal energy drink like PSP22 it improved time trial performance by 6.5%.
EnergySource NEUTRAL- This does not contain the Supercarbs mix and only contains maltodextrin (Glucose Polymer) and some electrolytes. We do not recommend this for use during activity as it is inferior to the flavoured products which contain Supercarbs for both energy delivery and hydration. It can be used post exercise for recovery (glycogen replacement) but again 4:1 and protein recovery do a better job in this respect. Some athletes do use Neutral for boosting the carbohydrate content of other foods by sprinkling it in. But for you guys who have used it over the years and are big fans we have left it in the product range. acids that can also be used as fuel.
